much better than originally anticipating last week. we were thinking possibly up to a foot of snow out here across the northeast. it has been one of the hardest hit areas with the snow and the ice. the snow coming down as far west as parts of missouri parts of arkansas seeing snow this morning and as par east as maryland and new jersey. we see a mix in the new york city area but nothing sticking. fer thu further south mid atlantic and kentucky parts of arkansas and missouri we have winter storm warnings in effect in a widespread area. you can see the pink sheeting right there tennessee and western north aerial line gnaw that phoningsly more than a quarter of an inch of ice.

the team went down near the naval station in fallon east of reno. it took rescue crews hours to reach the crash site. it is being called a total loss. the cause under investigation. new overnight this according to the south korea defense ministry. the short range missiles are believed to be scud missiles. the missiles flew about 300 miles which means they are capable of hitting south korea or japan. this is the second launch in more than a week. >> learner testified this week. chairman ice saw says yes. >> her attorney indicates she will testify. it has been a back and fourth they go ya negotiation. the evident gath --

as far west as northern arkansas and missouri and as far east as new jersey. a widespread storm system. winter storm warnings in effect across middle mississippi valley into the mid atlantic. the storm has taken a southerly track. so originally we were thinking more snow for places like philadelphia and new york city, but now a little lighter accumulation there and up to a foot of snow expected across the central appalachians and parts of maryland and also northern virginia. you can see how much snow we are expecting up to six inches across kentucky, west virginia and even into parts of southern new jersey. ice will be a concern across tennessee and western north carolina. more than a quarter of an inch of ice accumulation there. otherwise west and north of the storm system it is cold out there. currently feels like 6 below zero in chicago, 1 in dallas and 8 below zero in minneapolis. >> 1 in dallas. >> 0 in kansas city.

has to go with fox search life. it was a tough movie to watch, it was an important movie, and a lot of the aacademy members were reluctant to put the dvd in and watch it. for obvious reasons, it's tough. they went around this town with the headlines it's time. it plays into two things it is time to award a movie like this and also academy members it is time to put the dvd in the player and watch the academy, it is time to put the movie andnto the player vote for it. the second part of this goes to this young lady, lupita nyong'o, unknown in the beginning and this was her first big motion picture, i think her first picture ever. when she took the red carpet back in the golden globes wearing that red ralph lauren dress she took this town by storm, hit all the right notes from the
